Steven is responsible for survey, design development and quality control for a variety of building projects. Steven undertakes a construction monitoring role on larger projects to ensure the delivery of a quality solution to the client.

Outside work, Steven enjoys keeping fit. He is a keen squash player competing in a local squash league and a classic car enthusiast.

Relevant Experience

Prior to joining Sidleys Steven was an assistant site engineer .

Steven has been a key member of the Sidleys design team for a variety of projects, primarily, but not exclusively, for public schools and Oxford colleges. Projects include:

Measured surveys.
Refurbishment of dormitory and student accommodation units including alterations to staff accommodation and extensions.
Fabric repairs on a variety of building types
Alteration and refurbishment of residential units for the elderly for a number of almshouse charities.
Alterations and refurbishment of sports facilities
Dedicated construction monitoring role for a range of clients on refurbishment and new build projects.

Experience has been gained through working on numerous educational buildings, dwellings and commercial buildings in Oxford, Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Personal Strengths

Steven has worked for the practice since 1984. He is responsible for carrying out a wide variety of work within the practice. This includes site survey work, design development on projects ranging from small alteration works to private dwellings to larger refurbishment projects.

A significant proportion of projects undertaken are to buildings/sites of significant architectural and historical importance. The projects span the spectrum of development in Oxford and the surrounding area.

Project Responsibilities

Measured surveys of buildings to record the existing detail.
Preparation of applications for statutory approvals
Full commitment to development of the design with an ongoing project role and a particular emphasis on construction monitoring to achieve high quality delivery to meet the client’s expectations.
