Alex Skyrme
Relevant Experience
Alex has acted as the principal designer and contract administrator for a number of projects, primarily, but not exclusively, for public schools and Oxford colleges. Projects include:
- Alteration and refurbishment of educational, commercial & residential buildings.
- Refurbishment of dormitory and student accommodation units
- Refurbishment of science classroom and toilet blocks.
- Commercial kitchen redevelopment and new build dining room extension.
The majority of the projects detailed have been carried out on historic and listed buildings.
Alex has also acted as party wall surveyor and is a practicing member of The Pyramus and Thisbe Society.
Personal Strengths
Alex worked for the practice in 2013/14 as a placement student from Nottingham Trent University, returning full time following his studies in 2015 with a 1st Class Honors Degree in Building Surveying.
Alex has gained experience through working on numerous educational and commercial buildings in Oxford and the Surrounding Areas.
Project Responsibilities
- Delivering the project from concept through to handover.
- Coordination of the project team to ensure delivery of the client's requirements..
- Completion and execution of Planning, Listed Building and Building Regulations applications.
